Sarah Georgiana Moore daughter of George Moore and his wife Sarah Hornblow born in Colchester in 1813
Augustus Stephen Jeffrey  born 1818 in Stepney  was the only recorded child of Richard Pomeroy born in Werrington Devon in 1781 & his wife  Isott Webber Born 1788 West Teignmouth.
Isott died of typhus 1850 in Stepney - Richard died at his son's home in Liverpool in 1859 
Augustus Stephen Jeffrey Pomeroy  married Sarah Georgiana Moore  in Stepney 16 Sept 1838 with both fathers present. 

Richard Pomeroy's wife Issot attended  ;  George's wife Sarah Hornblow was in South Africa.
 

Augustus Stephen Jeffrey Pomeroy was employed by the East India Dock Company in 1832, company policy provided jobs for family members, father & son, starting out as a clerk like his father, at a wage of £1 11s 6d a week ( about £55 to £60 a year ?)  

In May 1839 his  job was made into a permanent position  Seven years later, on 24 July 1846, he resigned to take up the job in Liverpool with Mersey Docks and Harbour Board at the Albert Dock where he was earning £100 p.a. In 1858 Augustus was promoted to Principle of General Office and his salary raised to £250 per annum and in 1863 he was still in his position as Principle of General Office with the additional role as Receiver of Charges and duty Superintendent of the Albert Dock Offices, which gave him a salary of £ 275 per annum, plus house and coals.

In 1880 A S J Pomeroy was 63, was superannuated (retired)  at which time he received £ 300 p/a, the house and coals.  He had worked for the Mersey Docks & Harbour Board for 34 Years.   He lived out of the city on the Wirral then a very salubrious area. Fountains Lodge, which  was demolished sometime in the 1960's &  all that remains is a gatepost with the name engraved Augustus was working in the offices of the East India Dock Company as was his father  in 1838 . in 1846  he moved the family to Liverpool & changed the spelling of the family's name to Pomeroy. He died Birkenhead  in 1884.

The Children of Augustus Stephen Jeffery Pomeroy & his wife Sarah Georgiana Moore were: 

Georgiana Augusta Pomeroy, their only daughter ,was born almost exactly a year after their marriage  on 8 Sept 1839  in Stepney  . She  married  Dr George Shearer in West Derby  Liverpool in 1868. They went to China in 1869  where the first four of their seven children were born there including my grandfather James Augustus Shearer
They returned  to Liverpool in 1875   where Dr George had a medical practice and gave lectures on botany at the Univerity of Liverpool . He had a childhood acqaintance with  Robert Dick, the noted Victorian botanist , and, with his brother Professor William Shearer, contributed to the biography of Robert Dick. He was a member of the Linnean Society and knew Charles Darwin. Dr George   died in 1859 and Georgiana died  in 1920  in Cheshire

Augustus Frederick Brett Pomeroy Born Stepney 1841  married Elizabeth Jane Jackson 1867 St Pancras Middlesex sons  Edgar Born 1869 Campbell born 1870  Augustus FB died of TB in 1871 shortly after his second son was born. His sons and his widow migrated to California in 1889

James Richard Webber Pomeroy Born Stepney 1845. Married in Calcutta to Eliza Culloden 1873 returned to England for  the birth of their first child . He died of  typhoid and pneumonia at the home of his  brother  the Rev Walter W Pomeroy in 1880

Harrison Albert Pomeroy Born 1850 Clerk of Holy Orders Married Mary Jane Irvine - Died 1927 their Daughter Mary Elsie Irvine Pomeroy  born 1890 died unmarried 1967 

Walter William Pomery Clerk of Holy Orders  B 1855 married  in 1884 to Martha Maria Wire of Colechester  d 1936.
He became a Canon &   they had No Children  Walter died 1913

Harrison Hornblow Pomeroy ; Edmund Molyneaux Pomeroy , John Pomery  all died in infancy
